Dimapur, Aug. 8 (EMN): The 8 Western Angami assembly constituency of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) unanimously resolved to support the matured leadership of its party president, Chingwang Konyak, and the state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio.

The resolution to this effect was taken during its executive meeting held in Sechu Zubza on August 7. An update from the party also stated that the members have decided to vigorously enrol more members at the constituency level.

The house observed a minute silence in remembrance of former NDPP candidate Kevisekho Kruse and all other assembly constituency office bearers who expired in recent times.

The NDPP 8 Western Angami AC president, Neivikolie Khatsu, and the general secretary, Aselie Punyu, stated that the meeting was attended by the central office bearers and region office bearers representing the assembly constituency and all office bearers including women wing and youth organisation.
