Dimapur, Jan. 30 (EMN): The National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) has imposed a 12-hour bandh in Assam on Thursday, Jan. 31 to protest the verdict of the CBI special court on its president Ranjan Daimay alias D R Nabla and nine other members of the outfit.
The CBI special court on Wednesday pronounced Nabla and other nine members of NDFB guilty of the serial blasts in Assam on Oct. 30, 2008 and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
“In the light of the life sentence being awarded to president D R Nabla and other nine members of our party by the CBI special court on the 30th January 2019, NDFB has declared 12-hour Assam bandh tomorrow (Jan. 31),” read a press release issued by NDFB general secretary B Ohnjalu.
