The Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU) has said the state government has committed that after the clearance submitted by the state level committee full payment will be made within one month. Accordingly both the Technical committee and state level committee found genuine bills claimed by the NCSU.
The union said, the state government constituted departmental technical committee and state level committee in the year 2012 to verify al the pending bills upto 2005.
NCSU however said, the state government has released Rs. 10 crore and Rs. 8 crore in two installments in the year 2012 and 2013 respectively and the remaining are yet to release till date. In this connection the Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU) officials met Chief Minister (on 11th July 2014 & 9th July 2015) for immediate release of NCSU remaining pending bills with representation but so far no action has been initiated.In this connection, the union again wrote memorandum address to chief minister to release payment within August 20.
It however said, Principal Secretary & Financial Commissioner on behalf of C.M. requested the union to bear with the government for some more time that the state government shall accord top priority to release payment as soon as the financial position improves.
After which the NCSU has given ultimatum to the Chief Minister to release the remaining pending bills on or before November 10 which was submitted on October 7 failing which the union will resume 3rd phase of agitation which was kept in abeyance.
In this connection, the union has convened NCSU general meeting on November 11 at 12:00 noon at NCSU conference hall. All the bonafide members of NCSU have been informed to attend the meeting positively.
