Dimapur, Aug. 3 (EMN): The Nagaland Contractors’ and Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) today donated a sum of INR One lac. towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund for the recent natural calamity and at the same time urged the state government to give top priority for the restoration of the damaged roads in the interest of public service.
A press release issued by the NCSU General Secretary, John Kath said that the NCSU Head Office team led by its President Pele Khezhie visited the landslide and flash-flood damaged areas around the state government.
It stated that the Union is saddened over the huge damages caused by natural calamity which will take time to be restore; nonetheless, it stated that the government should give top priority towards the restoration of the damaged roads.
“...the union urges the State government to give top priority for restoration of all National Highway, State Highway and District Roads in the interest of public service,” the NCSU sated while adding that the Union will extend full cooperation to the state government for immediate restoration of roads and the damaged areas.
The union further asked all its bona-fide members to be prepared to face ‘the challenges of this natural calamity at any time to our doorstep’.
