DIMAPUR: March 6 (EMN): A three-day training on Global Positioning System (GPS) for Nagaland Civil Service (NCS) probationers 2014 batch got underway at the Survey Training Institute (STI), Dimapur, from March 6-8.
Altogether 20 participants are taking part in the training that involves basics on Land Survey through theory and practical sessions with focus on practical usage of GPS. The training began with welcoming the trainees and briefing on the usage of GPS and its importance by Vilarietuo Kire, Additional Director of Land Records and Survey Department. The programme was chaired by Zakiesatuo Lhoungu, LRSO & Training Officer STI.
Resource persons were Training Officer STI Zaphizo, LRSO Dimapur, and Merenkaba, LRSO Zunheboto.
