Dimapur, Oct. 20 (EMN): The Christian Youth Endeavour (CYE) of NCRC (Nagaland Christian Revival Church) Kenuozou celebrated 25 years of its foundation on Oct. 14. The jubilee was celebrated at NCRC Kenuozou church with the theme “This is the day the Lord has made....” (Psalm 118:24).
What began as a youth fellowship when the Christian revival church was established in Kenuozou in 1991 soon blossomed into the CYE in 1993 with a few members. It has now transformed into a vibrant congregation of youth from various communities.
Delivering the jubilee message, Dziesetuo Suokhrie, pastor of NCRC Kenuozou, expressed his profound gratitude to almighty God for bringing the youths to where it is now, and especially thanked the pioneers for their unceasing dedication towards strengthening the youth. He also thanked the well-wishers from the revival youth fellowships of the Angami, Northern Angami and Kohima Town units (ACRYF, NACRYF, KTCRYF) and representatives of various churches.
Deliberating on the meaning of the Jubilee, pastor Suokhrie said it’s a time when liberty was declared for all, and a season of rejoicing for the anniversary of a special event. He said this was a time to keep the Sabbath holy through obedience so that there would be no disasters, and safety and stability will prevail.
Describing the Jubilee year as a time of forgiveness of sins and forgiving one another, he exclaimed that it is the time when lost faith can be restored. He expounded the verse from Romans 14:17, saying that the kingdom of God is not mere feasting but finding peace and rejoicing in the Holy Spirit.
The paster exhorted that truly accepting Christ as one’s personal saviour would give way to a willing heart that leads to obedience. He prayed that God would revive the people again through the breaking of chains that bind humans to sin. He also led a pledge taken by the congregation to forgive each other and make way for the manifold blessings that come only from God.
The Jubilee service was chaired by Neituo Khana, chairman of NCRC Kenuozou, and Mülüvoto Ringa led praise and worship service.
