Dimapur, March 20 (EMN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) on Tuesday condemned the recent raid of its former president Savi Liegise’s residence by the 32nd Assam Rifle in Dimapur.
According to a press release from the Naga Council, it stated that the security forces were carrying out ‘deplorable acts’ under ‘motivated informers’ which is destructive to both the victim and the ‘army’s reputation’ and it should be prevented.
“Liegise possesses an honest, unquestionable character with compassion to build a good society. He is neither involved nor associated with any antisocial elements/factions whatsoever,” claimed the NCD.
The NCD also vouched for Liegise that he is one of the most ‘dedicated social workers’ in the council. He is among the ‘longest serving’ presidents who has rendered ‘sterling service’ to the Naga people. He maintained law and order and ‘communal harmony’ in Dimapur.
