NCD acknowledges support

Dimapur, Feb 18: Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has expressed gratitude to all who stood firmly for the cause of the Naga rights in its fight against what it termed as ‘discordant policy’ of the State government. A joint statement by NCD general secretary Thsapongkyu Sangtam and the vice president K Ghokheto Chophy said the fight demonstrated ‘our unequivocal intention’ to protect and preserve the rights which cannot be crushed by any force. NCD has appreciated the overwhelming support rendered by various sections of the society in their fight for justice. NCD has also appreciated the stance of various organisations in restraining themselves from all means of provocative behavious during the bandh. It further solicited unfringing support from all concerned as well as to avoid any kind of violence and aggression in future.
