Dimapur, July 29 (EMN): Ten-day annual training camp of the 24 Nagaland (Indep) Coy NCC held under aegis of NCC group HQ, Kohima has concluded on July 29 at Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School in Dimapur.
According to a press release, the culmination programme was marked by cultural programme. Highlight of the ten-day programme included dance and music, martial arts, group discussion, quiz competition and drill etc.
Lt. Col. Vivek Shukla, camp commandant presided over the programme while camp adjutant gave camp report and gave away the prizes to the winners of various events organized during the camp. The overall ‘Best Company Trophy’ was bagged by the Bravo Company.
The main focus of the camp was all round development of NCC cadet’s personality including imparting military training on subjects like physical training, drill, weapon training and national integration, motivation, career planning and general health and hygiene.
Besides these, various professional and sports competitions were held like inter-coy drill competition, inter coy firing competition, inter coy tent pitching competition, guard of honour competition, best cadet competition, inter coy tug of war, inter coy football match, inter coy basketball match, the press release stated.
The camp commandant expressed gratitude to LFHSS, 32 Assam Rifles, Spear Corps, DG NDFR, 12th Battalion NDFR, District Commandant Home Guards and Civil Defence Dimapur, Nagaland Pollution Control Board, Office of Chief Wildlife Warden, District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), Dimapur under ageis Nagaland AIDS Control Society, Youth Resource Services, and CMO office Dimapur.
