DIMAPUR — The 25 Nagaland Battalion NCC, Mokokchung, conducted a ‘Vibrant village camp’ at Phomching village in Mon district on Monday.
The event saw the enthusiastic participation of 50 NCC cadets along with their instructors and administrative staff, a defence release stated.
As part of the outreach initiative, cadets undertook a walk-through of the remote border village, engaging directly with the residents. The interactions aimed to promote pride in indigenous culture and traditions while raising awareness of various government welfare schemes and initiatives.

“In a touching gesture of respect, a traditional gamcha was presented to the senior-most male villager and the eldest lady of the village, symbolising the cadets' deep appreciation of community elders,” it stated.
“The programme successfully fostered a sense of connection, cultural pride, and national integration in this far-flung region of the state.”
