Dimapur, June 24 (EMN): The National Cadet Corps (NCC) of Nagaland (Girls) battalion under the aegis of NCC Group headquarter in Kohima commenced ten days long annual training camp at Loyola Higher Secondary School at Jakhama from June 23 to July 2. Updates on Sunday informed.
The main aim of the camps was to impart collective training to the cadets with special emphasis of the development of quality leadership. It focuses on the development of good character, comradeship, discipline, secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship, ideals of selfless service and so on. Thus, the camp will be a sort of maintaining an all round development of the cadets’ personality.
Further, the cadets will also be trained in handling weapon, drill, military subject, national integration, and other nation building and social service activities such as Swaach Bharat Abhiyan.
Colonel Rajeev Kumar, the camp commandant, has informed that the guest lectures by eminent personalities will be conducted. Weapon display by the battalion and career counseling by Assam Rifles are also planned during the camp. The NCC girl from various institutes in Nagaland along with others will attend the camp.
