
Dimapur, June 12 (EMN): Associate NCC officers and girl cadets of 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion NCC under the aegis of NCC Group-Kohima/NER donated 200 bottles (300 ml each) of hand-wash and 200 face masks to Chiedema village on June 10.
Chiedema village in Kohima district was adopted by NCC unit of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS), Kohima, an update from Associate NCC Officer of 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion Capt. Regina Razousinuo stated.
It stated that the commanding officer of 1 Nagaland Girls' Battalion NCC Col. Avinash D Pitre; ANO of DBHSS Besuro Elizabeth; ANO of LFHSS Ersilia Chaste; JCO of 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion NCC Nb/Sub Moawati Ao, and Ayush state programme officer Dr. Seyiekhrietuo John Zhale were present during the distribution programme.
It added that CBC pastor Razouvolie and executive members of Chiedema Village Students' Union (CVSU) received the items and also expressed gratitude to the visiting team.
The release stated that Associate NCC Officers and girl cadets of 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion NCC made the face masks and hand-wash with their own hands. It took them almost three weeks to make the face masks and hand-wash, the release added.
The battalion undertook the initiative with an aims to train the girl cadet in the preparation of face masks and hand-wash as well as to distribute them to adopted villages during the lockdown period.
The press release further informed that the remaining items would be contributed to other villages in the following weeks.
