Dimapur, June 26 (EMN): Personnel of 164 Infantry Battalion (TA) Naga has organised a weapon display for the cadets of 1 Nagaland (Girls) battalion NCC at Loyola Higher Secondary School, Zakhama, on June 26. More than 500 cadets attending the camp were given an opportunity for on hand experience on various types of weapons and equipments used by the Indian army.
A defence press release stated that Naga terriers play an important role in imparting training and motivation to the youth of Nagaland in joining the Army. The annual training camp for NCC cadets provided an opportunity to learn and enhance their experiences.
Col KK Misra, commanding officer of Naga terriers, and his team provided an in depth knowledge of the various types of weapons and equipments used by Indian army.
Lt. Col Stanley John, second-in-command of 164 (TA) Naga, gave an insight on the concept of territorial army and the avenues open for women to join the TA. A film on territorial army was also screened to the cadets.
