Dimapur, Jan. 20: The 3 (NH) Bn Assam Rifles under the aegies of the HQ IGAR(N) arranged a visit for 447 cadets from various parts of the country to the oldest post of the Assam Rifles, Chancellor Hill, commonly known as Charlie Hill, in Kohima, during January 10-13.
“The cadets and their instructors atttended the narration of brief history of the 3 Naga Hills Batallion the oldest Bn of Assam Rilfes followed by an informal talk on Assam Rifles to incl career prospect and benefits of affiliating themselves with this reputable organisation. A weapon and equipment display was organised for the cadets. Experts briefed the enthusiastic and inquisitive lot of cadets,” a press release from the organisers infromed this week.
Informing that the event was of “great learning for the cadets,” the establishment said that the “entire team of cadets and their instructors were thankful to 3 (NH) Bn Assam Rifles for conducting and organising the informative visit and requested for more such visits for cadets in future.”
