NCC cadets trained on disaster management

Dimapur, Oct. 19 (EMN): A team of experts led by Vikiho Awomi, company commander of Home Guards and Civil Defence, Dimapur, conducted a one-day disaster management training on October 19 at the ongoing Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC VII) which is underway at Sainik School Punglwa in Peren district. An update from Sainik School Punglwa on Saturday stated that the team of experts had organised lecture-cum-demonstration on fire fighting, rescue operation, CPR and first aid measures. The team also educated the staff and cadets on various fire hazards, precautions, and how to deal with such hazards. It stated that the training rendered by the department would go a long way to benefit the cadets in times of fire emergency at school and elsewhere. The programme was organised under the initiative of Lt. Kanu Barman, ANO, and with the support from Akhu Kath, district commandant of Home Guards and Civil Defence, Dimapur.
