
NCC commanding officer giving away award to a winner on the
concluding day of the combined annual training camp in Wokha on January 18.
- DIMAPUR — A
ten-day NCC combined annual training camp (CATC-138) at Assam Rifles camp in
Wokha concluded on January 18. The camp was attended by 300 cadets and training
staff from different districts of the state.
- A defence release stated that the cadets underwent physical
fitness training, marching, weapon training, live firing etc., during the
10-day training programme. It added that a number of individual and team
competitions were also conducted.
- The cadets were grouped under four training companies named
as the national heroes of the war for freedom. The camp witnessed tough
competitions like strong man and strong woman where four cadets received the
titles.
- It stated that awards were given for performance in best
case studies, while four cadets received award for their sharp shooting skills.
- It stated that the cadets paid tributes to the freedom
fighters through case studies. Based on overall performance during the camp,
Bhagat Company was adjudged as champion company of the camp.
