DIMAPUR — The NCC
‘A’ certificate examination for the year 2025 was successfully conducted on
February 2 across multiple locations in the state including Dimapur, Kohima,
Mokokchung, and Sainik School Punglwa, under the aegis of NCC Group, Kohima.
According to a defence release, 896 cadets of the junior
division/ junior wings appeared for the examination with enthusiasm and
dedication, demonstrating their knowledge, discipline, and commitment to the
values of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
“The examination is a crucial milestone for the cadets as it
assesses their understanding of NCC training, drill, map reading, and other
essential subjects.
“The cadets put forth their best efforts to answer the
questions, showcasing their hard work and preparation. The successful
completion of this examination will enable them to earn the ‘A’ certificate,
which is a recognition of their training and an important step in their journey
within the NCC,” the release stated.
Brig. Shantanu P Mainkar, Group Commander, visited and
inspected the Kohima centre at the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School,
encouraging the cadets by appreciating their dedication, and urging them to
continue upholding the ideals of NCC - unity and discipline.
In other locations, officials from NCC units visited and
supervised the examination to ensure its smooth and fair conduct.
The results of the examination will be announced in due
course, and successful candidates will be awarded the NCC ‘A’ certificate,
which holds value in various academic and career pursuits.
