DIMAPUR — The
Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), in collaboration with Performance
Assessment, Review and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development (PARAKH)
under NCERT, New Delhi, will be conducting workshops and programmes for professional
development of the various stakeholders from January 13 to the 24th.
An update from NBSE stated that a workshop on capacity
building for preparation of cadre of professional paper setters would be
conducted from January 13 to the 15th at AIDA Centre, Don Bosco campus in
Dimapur for Mathematics and Science teachers. Similar programme would also be
conducted from January 16 to the 18th at SIEMAT, SCERT, in Kohima.
It informed that workshop on competency-based question
setting for English and Social Science teachers would be conducted on January
21 and 22 in Dimapur and on January 23 and 24 in Kohima.
Dissemination of the report on ‘Establishing equivalence
across education board towards empirically grounded guidelines for
Implementation of NEP 2020 would be conducted on January 21 at the Capital
Convention Centre in Kohima for head of registered institutions.
Besides, training of personnel for implementation of
holistic progress card (HPC) would be conducted from January 22 to the 24th at
Mt. Tabor Retreat House in Kohima for selected teachers from 100 schools.
It mentioned that PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi, has been
entrusted with the significant mandate of functioning as a standard-setting
body to ensure equivalence of academic standards among learners across all
boards in India. In line with the mandate, PARAKH, in collaboration with the
boards, has completed the research study titled ‘Establishing equivalence
across education boards: Towards empirically grounded guidelines for the
implementation of NEP 2020.’
In line with the above, PARAKH, NCERT has directed the
boards to organise series of workshops and programmes to sensitise and train
stakeholders to achieve comparable uniformity in learning/ assessment standards
across the country.
NBSE has requested all head of registered institutions under
the board to participate by deputing selected teachers to ensure the successful
conduct of the programmes.
