The Nagaland Board of School Education releases the HSLC and HSSLC Compartmental and Improvement Examination 2026 routine.

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified the examination routine for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Compartmental and Improvement Examination 2026.
The board informed that the examination routine shall not be altered in the event of any unexpected holiday. However, in case of cancellation or postponement of the date of examination, it shall be notified through the media, according to an update from the DIPR.
For the HSLC examination, the morning shifts will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon, and the afternoon shifts from 1 pm to 4 pm. The examination will begin on June 9 with the Science paper in the morning. On June 12, the English examination will be held, followed by Mathematics A and Mathematics B on June 15, and Social Sciences on June 17, all scheduled during the morning shift.

On June 20, the morning shift of the HSLC examination will feature Second Language papers, including Alternative English, Ao, Bengali, Hindi, Lotha, Sümi (Sutsa), and Tenyidie. The afternoon shift on the same day will include the Sixth Subjects: BK and Accountancy, Environmental Education, and Foundation of Info. Technology and Music from 1 pm to 4 pm. Vocational Subjects, including Agriculture, Automotive, Beauty and Wellness, Electronics, ITeS, Multi Skills Foundation Course, Plumbing, Retail, and Tourism and Hospitality, will be conducted from 1 pm to 3 pm.
For the HSSLC examination, the morning shifts will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and afternoon shifts from 1 pm to 4 pm. The examination will commence on June 9 with History, Chemistry, and FBM in the morning and Geography, Entrepreneurship, and Music in the afternoon. On June 12, Business Studies and Mathematics will be held in the morning, while Second Language papers, including Alternative English, Ao, Bengali, Hindi, Lotha, Sümi (Sutsa), and Tenyidie, will be conducted in the afternoon.
On June 15, Political Science, Accountancy, and Physics will take place in the morning. The afternoon shift will feature Computer Science and Informatics Practices from 1 pm to 4 pm. Additionally, Vocational Subjects, including Agriculture, Automotive, Beauty and Wellness, Electronics, Healthcare, ITeS, Retail, and Tourism and Hospitality will be held from 1 pm to 3 pm.
On June 17, Education and Psychology will be conducted in the morning, followed by English in the afternoon. The HSSLC examination will conclude on June 20, with Economics and Biology in the morning and Philosophy, FMM, and Sociology in the afternoon.
