DIMAPUR — With the changes brought in by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), Nagaland Board of School Education has reminded the higher secondary schools that students who are intending to go for BA Economics (Honours) need to have Mathematics as one of the subjects at the higher secondary level.
An NBSE press release issued by its chairperson, Asano Sekhose, informed that this policy would be adopted by Nagaland University as well as other universities across the country.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]All head of higher secondary schools offering Economics subject as an elective subject are requested to take note of the changes taking place in the educational eco-system and are encouraged to take necessary actions so that students, who desire to study BA Economics (Honours) in future, are not deprived of the opportunity.
Further, head of institutions are requested to disseminate the information and sensitise the students during the time of admission to help students choose the correct subject combination at an early stage.
