Kohima, Feb. 17 (EMN): In a new initiative of its kind, students under Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) can now access their marksheets from digital platform - DigiLocker App.
The marksheet for class 10 and 12 for the year 2019 and 2020 were made available in the platform for the students by registering, verifying and fetching the document on the facility.
Announcing the same about the development in a Micro blogging site Twitter, DigiLocker on Thursday tweeted, “Good News for Students of Nagaland Board of School Education! Get your Class 10th &12th Marksheet for the year 2019 & 2020 through #DigiLocker. Install DigiLocker App to access your important documents and certificates.”
This app is available both for Android users on Google Playstore and iOS users on App Store.
It may be mentioned that DigiLocker is a flagship programme of ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) under Digital India, which is a platform for issuance and verification of documents and certificates. The programme aims at ‘Digital Empowerment’ by providing access to authentic digital documents to the citizen’s digital document wallet.
The issued documents in DigiLocker system are deemed to be at par with original physical documents as per Rule 9A of the Information Technology (Preservation and Retention of Information by Intermediaries providing Digital Locker facilities) Rules, 2016 notified on Feb. 8, 2017 vide GSR 711 (E).
According to the National statistics on DigiLocker, there are 92.28 million users, 4.86 billion issued documents with 1727 issuers and 351 requestors.
