Nagaland Board of School Education invites applications for the Vidyadhan Scholarship 2026 for meritorious students.
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified all heads of institutions that the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation (SDF) has invited applications for the Vidyadhan Scholarship.
According to a DIPR report, the SDF is a non-profit organisation established in 1999 by SD Shibulal, co-founder and former CEO of Infosys, and Kumari Shibulal, Patron.
As per the notification, the Vidyadhan Scholarship supports the college education of meritorious students from economically disadvantaged families.
Students are selected after the completion of Class 10 through a rigorous selection process. They will initially be eligible for a two-year scholarship of INR 10,000 per year for class 11 and 12 studies.
If the students continue to perform well, they will be provided scholarships to pursue any degree course of their interest. These scholarships are directly offered through the foundation or external sponsors registered with it. The scholarship amount for graduation varies from INR 15,000 to INR 75,000 per year. Selected students are also provided training in soft skills and career counselling.
To be eligible, candidates must be from families with an annual income below INR 3 lakhs. They should have passed the HSLC Examination 2026 from Nagaland with 70% and above (60% for students with disabilities) or an A+ grade in all subjects.
Eligible students can apply online by logging into vidyadhan.org or through the SDF Vidya app, which is available on the Google Play Store, from April 29 to August 31.

The NBSE has requested all registered government and private schools to take the necessary action to ensure that students in their respective institutions can avail themselves of the scholarship opportunity.
