Dimapur, May 7 (EMN): Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) and the North East Educational Council (NEEC), in collaboration with the departments of School Education, Higher Education and Technical Education, will jointly organise Nagaland’s 1st ‘Edu Connect Conclave 2022’ on May 10 and 11 at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima on the theme “Investment for the future.”
Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) informed that the event would be broadcasted in all the districts for the students and parents to watch the event live through MyGov Nagaland YouTube channel. In this connection, it informed all the head of secondary and higher secondary institutions to coordinate with their respective district education officers (DEO) and make necessary arrangement to enable their students to attend the live broadcast of the event.
For Kohima town, the head of selected schools are requested to make necessary arrangements for the students of Classes X and XII to attend the event.
It mentioned that the education expo was intended to connect students seeking admissions, especially in education that is vocational and employment-oriented, with premier colleges/institutes of the country. It was also intended to enable students to obtain first-hand information about admission to such colleges/ institutes and the courses offered, fee structure, free education, scholarships, education loans, options for fellowships abroad etc.
“This will not only help overcome the difficulties faced by the students in getting admissions to premier educational institutions of the country but it is hoped that this will attract potential institutions to establish in Nagaland,” NBSE informed.
It added that the expo would also help schools and colleges fine-tune their career counseling, find out post-graduate opportunities outside Nagaland and guidance on education loans and fellowships, and scholarships.
