NBSE announces registration dates for HSLC & HSSLC Exams 2026

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has announced that the registration period for the HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2026 will be from September 22 to October 10, 2025, for regular, repeater, and compartmental students.

According to a DIPR report, intending candidates are to note the dates and fill up their application forms by accessing the NBSE portal nbsenl.edu.in. 

Institutions/ centres are to login to the NBSE portal and verify the forms and pay the examination fees for their different categories of candidates within the above mentioned dates. (Rules for filling up of forms and submission are enclosed in Annexure 'A' and `13').

The board also informed that starting from the 2026 examination, the categories of regular repeaters, centre repeaters, and compartmental candidates will be merged into a single ‘Repeater’ category.

Candidates are required to fill out their forms at the school where they last studied. Additionally, heads of centre schools have been requested to provide guidance to centre repeaters and compartmental candidates accordingly.

“Heads of institutions are once again reminded not to conduct selection test at Class X & XII level to screen out the weak students. All possible efforts should be taken to give remedial measures, special classes etc. for the weak students to improve their academic performance,” it stated.

Further, the board notified that no extra money should be charged from the students or any security deposit collected for forwarding their application forms.
