Earlier in the programme, chairman of NBOCWWB, Dr Kekhrie Yhome, said construction workers or other such workers are considered as one of the lowest levels in society. But in reality, they are the backbone and the risk takers considering their profession and working environment without any security to life/ life insurance, he said.
In this connection, Yhome said the board has come up with elaborate projects to provide assistance through various schemes.
Minister of PWD (H&M), Tongpang Ozukum, suggested the board to incorporate women too if there is a way out in the later stage.
