DIMAPUR—The youth department of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) hosted a two-day youth board meeting and skill-up training on March 22 and 23 at NBCC headquarters in Kohima.
An update from NBCC youth department informed that the event was attended by youth leaders, who were enlightened on various topics to disciple and build up young people through sports and Bible teachings. It stated that an initiative called ‘Sport and Scripture Engagement’ was launched by Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, NBCC general secretary, under the leadership of Rev. N Suhuto Chishi, youth secretary, and Dr. Viposa Kiso, convener.
Besides, it stated that leaders at the event were enlightened by speakers on various topics. It informed that Dr. Joshua Lorin, principal of OTS, spoke on ‘Baptist distinctive,’ while Neichute Doulo, founder and CEO of Entrepreneurs Associates, spoke on ‘Trees for wealth,’ and Dr. Lovika P Shikhu, assistant professor at NU, spoke on ‘The impact of mobile game addiction and social media among young people.’
It added that Wichampau Nchang gave a response on Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho's book ‘A simple guide to dealing with cult and heresy.’
Meanwhile, the youth secretary, Rev. Suhuto Chishi, has expressed gratitude to all the speakers and participants for their active participation and contribution to the success of the event. He also reiterated the youth department's commitment to nurturing and empowering young people to become better Christians and citizens.
