DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Women department organised the “Imagine the Future Conference” on Wednesday at the Platinum Hall, NBCC office in Kohima, on the theme “Beauty in diversity: inspire to shape future”.
The one-day conference was attended by about 90 participants, including association women secretaries, church leaders and representatives of tribal women apex bodies from across the state, stated an update.
Sano Vamuzo, in her keynote address titled “All by His grace”, reflected on God’s design in creating humanity with unique creativity and purpose. “We are all different, and that is God’s design—our gift,” she said.

She encouraged attendees to recognise their individual gifts as tools to fulfil God’s purpose, highlighting the Christian responsibility to teach, transform, and connect with society through love and faith.
The second keynote was delivered by Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, general secretary of NBCC, who expanded on the conference theme. He emphasised that diversity is not a barrier but a blessing.
“Accepting diversity is essential for leaders if we want to shape a better society. Diversity enriches our lives, families, churches, and communities,” he stated. He urged participants to see diversity not as a call for uniformity but as a celebration of God’s multifaceted creation, fostering respect, acceptance, and harmony.
The event also featured a series of PowerPoint and video presentations. “The Legend of Tabuanliu Gangmei” was presented by RBCAN. “Much Effort, Much Prosperity” was presented by Pelenino Chase. “The Anishe Flower: A Legendary Tale” was presented by SBAK (Nito Mount). Presentations of ministries were made by Miqlat and LifeConnect.
