NBCC School Ministry held a two-day teachers’ training programme in Pungro town for mission school educators.

DIMAPUR — The School Ministry of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) organised a two-day teachers’ training programme on June 4 and the 5th, at the EBRC hall, Pungro town, Kiphire.
In a statement, the NBCC informed that the training was conducted for member schools under Pungro area with the objective of enhancing teaching effectiveness, strengthening mentorship skills, and reaffirming the vision and objectives of mission schools.
A total of 41 teachers representing four member schools from Mimi, Moya, Pungro town, and Pungro Village participated in the programme.
The resource team comprised Moa Walling, principal of Christian Higher Secondary School (CHSS), Dimapur, members of the CHSS teachers’ team, and representatives from the NBCC School Ministry.
The training featured sessions on basic skills in teaching, mentorship, cultivating soft skills, and maintaining parental relationships.

Participants also engaged in group activities and practical training sessions tailored for Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences, Foundational, and English teachers, facilitated by the CHSS teachers’ team.
“Throughout the programme, participants were encouraged to pursue excellence in their profession while nurturing Christ-centred values in their educational ministries,” it stated.
The training concluded with the presentation of certificates to all participants and a challenge to continue serving as effective educators and mentors in their respective schools and communities.
The resource team was jointly hosted by Pungro Village Baptist Church and Pungro Town Baptist Church. The programme was coordinated with the support of Birimong, coordinator EBRC, and his team at EBRC Pungro town.
