Dimapur, Dec. 21 (EMN): Nagaland limped its way into a precarious position on day three of the Nayudu Trophy encounter with Sikkim at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima in Dimapur.
The under-23 team, in the second innings, were 119 with seven wickets down already at the close of play; a lead of only 89 runs.
An eight-wicket haul from Hopongkyu, after adding three more to his yesterday’s return of five, could not prevent Sikkim from taking a lead of 30 runs.
Thanks to a century from Parth, who scored 110 runs, compiled 310 all out in their first innings. Hopongkyu’s figure read 29.3-7-83-8.
With a full day’s play still left, Sikkim appears favourites to emerge winner.
