Dimapur, Feb. 6: Northern Angami Youth Organisation (NAYO) condoled the family members of late Thejavizo Metha of Chiechama village and late Bendangnungsang Longkumer of Aonokpu village, both resident of Diphupar colony, Dimapur.
NAYO president Neizolie Rupreo and the press secretary Kiyasetuo Kenguruse said late Thejavizo and late Bendangnungsang were killed by the security guards of chief minister TR Zeliang’s residence while protesting against the ULB elections called by the Naga tribal hohos. NAYO termed the firing upon unarmed volunteers from behind the back to be an act of cowardice and defile of democracy.
NAYO, meanwhile, extended its continuous support to the Angami Youth Organization (AYO) in its protest also called the attention of its constituent unit’s/ village youth organisations to respond immediately with the required numbers of volunteers as and when called.
