Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland conducted a special health camp on anaemia screening at Pungro CHC in Kiphire district on Monday.

DIMAPUR — A special health camp on anaemia screening was conducted at Pungro Community Health Centre (CHC) under Kiphire district on Monday. The programme was organised by Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland under its SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels initiative.
According to an update, the camp started at 9 am and provided medical services including anaemia screening, general health check-up, diabetes check, doctor consultation, and laboratory tests.
The lab tests included ABO grouping, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Syphilis (SYP), Haemoglobin (HB), Random Blood Sugar (RBS), scrub typhus, and malaria screening.
The medical team was led by Dr. Siku from Pungro CHC and Dr. Lillio from Nature SBI Foundation, along with nurses and technicians. A total of 132 beneficiaries attended the camp, out of which 17 individuals underwent laboratory tests, including RBS, malaria parasite, and scrub typhus screening.
Speaking on the occasion, Longtili C Sangtam, project lead of Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland, expressed gratitude to Dr. Siku and the team from Pungro CHC for their support. He also thanked the International Border Area People's Welfare Organisation (IBAPWO), led by N Apong, for their efforts in mobilising the community and extending support to make the programme happen.
He added that such initiatives bring real benefits to the people.
Highlighting the progress of the project, he stated that during the month of March, a total of 160 lab tests were conducted, including ABO, RBS, scrub typhus, malaria, Widal, and HB tests. Additionally, 115 MOPD cases were recorded, with a total of 1,416 beneficiaries served. The team also conducted two awareness camps, one sanitation drive, and one specialist health camp.
N Apong, Chief Functionary of IBAPWO, shared that in collaboration with Nature SBI Foundation, a free medical camp was organised at Pungro CHC. He stated that the doctors and medical team examined patients and provided free medicines.
