Nature SBI Foundation organises free medical camp at New Monger Village, focusing on communicable diseases and hygiene for rural communities.

DIMAPUR — A free medical camp and health awareness programme was organised by the Nature SBI Foundation at New Monger village under the Seyochung area in Kiphire on Wednesday.
An update stated that the team focused on important health topics related to communicable diseases and cleanliness, especially issues that affect rural communities.
The main points covered included mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue and malaria; tuberculosis prevention and available treatment; the importance of handwashing and home sanitation; and encouraging families to stop open defecation and improve hygiene.
Seven villages and Seyochung town attended the camp, including Seyochung village, Thangthure, Old Monger, Yingphire, Tsingar, Yangzitong, and New Monger.

Speaking at the event, Muwali T Sangtam, president of the Seyochung Area Students’ Union, thanked the foundation team for bringing medical support to the area. “Our people have nothing to offer in return, but may the good Lord bless your work,” he shared.
Longtili C Sangtam, project lead, Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland, expressed appreciation to the community. He said it was encouraging to see the turnout and thanked the Seyochung Area Students’ Union for their support in organising and coordinating the programme.
Residents received free health checkups, guidance and medicines, while also learning how to keep their communities safe and clean.
