Dimapur, Oct. 1: Believing in a cliché of ‘self reliance’ and ‘dignity of labour,’ four young Naga entrepreneurs launched Natural Leaf Saloon (NLS) on Oct. 1 in Dimapur, with an aim to provide ‘high quality services’ to their clients.
The venture was started by Avilie Vitsu, Hrinyü, Ashiphro, and Alhiphro. They boast of 100% natural products and termed it as “totally natural.”
One of the proprietors, Avilie Vitsu, said that the salon is the first of its kind in the Northeastern state and he hoped to enlarge the business in future.
He mentioned that about INR seven lakh was invested into the venture. Natural Leaf Salon is a unisex salon, and a retail outlet of Inatur Beauty and Body care products, a Delhi-based company located in Noida, he added.
Every start ups are bound to have faced some amount of challenges. Vitsu admitted that getting the products, and transporting them to and fro, from Guwahati and Delhi to Dimapur was one of the major difficulties they faced.
Vice president of the Nationalist People’s Democratic Party, Lipok Pongen, was the chief guest of the day.
He said that to become entrepreneurs does not come to every individual’s mind.
He lauded them for taking the initiative and starting their own business and said: “I think this is also a change” by uplifting dignity of labour.
Government does not have enough jobs to provide all the unemployed youths in the state, he pointed out.
Terming the beginning of the Natural Leaf Salon as “graceful,” Pongen said: “Taking the name of God in the initiative will never be a lost.”
He expressed his confidence and wishes them best with their works.
The salon is located at the second floor of Koutsü Complex, Circular Road in Dimapur.
