DIMAPUR — A national training for all the Block Level Officers (BLOs) under 12 Tseminyu A/C was held on July 17 at DC’s conference hall, Tseminyu.

According to a DIPR report, ADC & ERO Tseminyu, Kikumsangla Jamir, briefed on constitutional provisions, electoral roll processes, and BLO roles, covering house-to-house surveys, forms, and procedures.

She also emphasised training on using the BLO App for form filling and the VHA App.

In the second session, David Kent, BLO Tseminyu New town, trained BLOs through role-plays, form-filling exercises, assessments, and case studies on house-to-house electoral surveys.

Participants were divided into four groups for role-plays, practicing polite communication, correct identification and handling of electoral forms (Forms 6, 6A, 7, and 8) in different scenarios.

The role-play scenarios covered typical household situations BLOs may face, such as residence changes, voting card issues, and form management for family members, along with assessments of form-filling exercises.

Livika, assistant programmer, led the third session, focusing on the BLOs App, reviewing form-filling exercise results, discussing common mistakes, and providing guidance on avoiding errors. She also conducted a doubt-clearing session and re-assessment for those who didn't pass.

In the fourth session, EAC & AEO Tseminyu, Molosangla Ozukum, spoke on online assessment of the participants - multiple choice questions through Google forms/BLOs App.

In his closing remarks, Deputy Commissioner Japheth Woch emphasised the importance of intensive summary revision for accurate electoral rolls, ensuring elections adhere to Election Commission guidelines.

The DC urged BLOs to take their assignments seriously.
