- DIMAPUR — A meeting of the National TB
Elimination Programme (NTEP) Forum was held at the DPDB Hall in Longleng on
Wednesday to strengthen efforts to combat tuberculosis in the district.
- According to an update, on the occasion, Dr. Temsusashi, the
District Tuberculosis Officer (DTO), presented the concept and formation of the
District TB Forum. He highlighted the forum’s roles, objectives, and the
importance of each member’s contribution.
- Dr. Temsusashi also shared data reflecting the current TB
situation in Longleng, emphasising the need for coordinated efforts to address
the challenges.
- W Manpai, Deputy Commissioner of Longleng, addressed the
gathering and spoke about the significant role NGOs and churches can play in raising
awareness, supporting patients, and facilitating TB elimination initiatives at
the grassroots level.
