The NSIC and BAN host a vendor development programme in Dimapur to empower local entrepreneurs through procurement.

DIMAPUR — An Entrepreneur Awareness and Special Vendor Development Programme was conducted at E-Space, Dimapur, on Thursday.
The programme was held under the aegis of the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) of the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Ministry of MSME, according to an update.
The event witnessed the participation of around 100 entrepreneurs, business owners, and stakeholders from across Nagaland, alongside officials from the NSIC, various government departments, financial institutions, and central public sector undertakings (CPSUs).
Vice President (National) of the Business Association of Nagas (BAN), Colo Mero, speaking on the occasion, highlighted the importance of empowering local entrepreneurs through greater participation in government procurement and business development initiatives.
The event featured presentations by representatives from the NSSH, GeM, the Ministry of MSME, the Department of Industries and Commerce, SBI, Food Corporation of India (FCI), Cement Corporation of India (CCI), Airports Authority of India (AAI), NIT, IOCL, ICAI, and the AICIL team.
A key highlight of the programme was the provision of free on-the-spot GeM and Udyam registrations throughout the event. A small exhibition showcasing local products and services was also organised, providing participants with opportunities for networking and business promotion.
