DIMAPUR — In a political development, several leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Indian National Congress (INC) formally joined the National People’s Party (NPP) at a ceremony held at the party’s state headquarters in Dimapur on Wednesday.
According to an update, the induction took place in the presence of MLA and State NPP president A Nyamnyei Konyak, along with members of the NPP state executive committee. The leaders were welcomed into the party as primary members.

Those who joined the NPP from the BJP include K James Vizo, Kikokul John Kulnu, Rosy Yanthan, Khehoshe Sumi, and Chumbemo Ezung. From the Congress, the new members include Onen Jamir, Takaoa, Marchiten, Takotemsu, Wangshimeren, John Patton, Nukshi Jamir, Imtionen, Bendangonen, and Athrong Sangtam.
