National People Party NPWF Kohima district hold consultative meeting-cum- felicitation programme.

DIMAPUR — The National People Party (NPP) and National People’s Women’s Front (NPWF), Kohima district, organised a consultative meeting-cum- felicitation programme of Kohima district NPWF at NPP Kohima office, on Saturday.
In a press release, the NPP Nagaland stated that women from across the district gathered to join the movement for greater political participation and grassroots leadership. The event, organised by the NPWF and NPP Kohima district, saw enthusiastic participation from party leaders and workers.
National president of NPWF, Aneii Khaming, and state working president Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhütso, MLA, addressed the gathering and underscored the front’s commitment to creating platforms for women’s participation in local bodies, state assemblies, and national politics.

Khaming emphasised the role of women in strengthening democracy and community welfare, while Dr. Rhütso encouraged NPWF to remain strong, faithful, and steadfast in the journey with the party.
He further stressed that efforts, sacrifices, and dedication will bear fruit.
“The induction highlighted NPWF’s commitment to inclusive politics, training for leadership, and support for women candidates in local bodies,” the release stated.
Earlier, the programme began with an invocation prayer by Helen, vice president of NPWF Kohima, followed by a welcome address delivered by the Kohima district NPP president, Dr. Keviseto, who highlighted the importance of women’s active role in political decision-making and grassroots development.
The induction programme was chaired by Kikrusonuo, president of NPWF Kohima.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Alebu Sanchu, gen. secy. of NPWF Kohima, acknowledging the presence of leaders, newly inducted members, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the programme a success.
