KOHIMA — Team Nagaland defeated Jharkhand 6-0 in their second match of the ongoing 77th National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy 2023-24 at Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.
Nagaland's Kevisanyü scored a hat-trick, contributing to the final three goals of the game. Yhoto Lohe scored the first goal, and Haileuyibe scored the second. The third was an own goal.
Nagaland is in Group C, along with Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Manipur.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Nagaland defeated Madhya Pradesh 3-0 in their opening match on Sunday and will face neighbour Manipur in the next match on October 12.
The Nagaland team is led by head coach Roko Angami and team manager Mughato Aye.
