NASU organises Suolahie Theünuo Memorial Volleyball Trophy at Rüsoma; Tsiesema Students Union and Seiyhama Students Union emerge champions.

DIMAPUR — The Northern Angami Students Union (NASU) organised the Suolahie Theünuo Memorial Volleyball Trophy at Rüsoma Local Ground on February 28.
The running trophy is played in remembrance and respect of its first president, Lt. Suolahie Theünuo of Nerhema village, on the theme “Unity through sports”. The trophy is played amongst the Northern Angami region, wherein students from different villages participate.
An update noted that the 2026 edition was attended by Pelesielie Khezhie, President of the Northern Angami Public Organisation, as the special guest and Thejao Chase, NASU senior, as the guest of honour.
The oath-taking was led by Sakuolie Metha, Games and Sports Secretary, after which the match commenced with the special guest kicking off the ball.

In the women's category, Seiyhama Students Union emerged as the champion, while Tsiesema Students Union secured the runner-up position. Kohima Village Students’ Union and Chiechama Students’ Union were the semi-finalists.
In the men's category, Tsiesema Students’ Union emerged as the champion, while Chiechama Students’ Union secured the runner-up position. Gariphema Students’ Union and Rüsoma Students' Union were the semi-finalists.
In the individual categories, Keneingunuo Dzüvichü of Tsiesema Students’ Union (women's category) and Visakholie Rüpreo of Chiechama Students’ Union (men's category) bagged the best player awards, respectively.
