Mokokchung launches the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan with a call for collective efforts against substance abuse.

DIMAPUR — A district-level launching programme for the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan was held at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office in Mokokchung on Monday.
Delivering the welcome address, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung Atsungba Walling stated that the launch of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan serves as a reminder that combating substance abuse requires more than just policies.
According to a DIPR report, he pointed out that it requires collective efforts, including supply-curbing strategies, demand-reduction efforts, and outreach and awareness starting from the grassroots. He called upon everyone to actively participate in ensuring the success of the campaign.
During the programme, the participants took the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan pledge, reaffirming their dedication and responsibility towards the initiative. The keynote address was delivered by the District Welfare Officer of Mokokchung, I Mangliyangba.
