Naiba Konyak, along with Dr. Supongmenla Walling, Dr. Aonungdok, Monyakshu, and other officials from the Medical department, at the inauguration of the Community Health Centre Changlangshu.


DIMAPUR — The Community Health Centre (CHC) Changlangshu was inaugurated on Tuesday by Naiba Konyak, MLA of the 55th AC Tobu, in the presence of Dr. Supongmenla Walling, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Mon; Dr. Aonungdok, Deputy CMO Mon; Monyakshu, Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil); and other officials from the Medical department.


An update stated that the monolith was dedicated by Rev. Dr. Chingmak, secretary ECS Longpang.


On the occasion, on behalf of the community, Naiba expressed gratitude to P Paiwang Konyak, Minister of Health and Family Welfare (H&FW), for his support to strengthen the CHC Changlangshu and also thanked S Pangnyu Phom, former Minister of H&FW, for his initiative to upgrade the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Changlangshu.

The CMO Mon lauded the community support and involvement of the ECS in the infrastructural development of the CHC.


Rev. Dr. Chingmak stated that a far-reaching transformation can be achieved through the concerted effort of the stakeholders and the government implementing agencies, and it has been proven through the upgradation of the PHC Changlangshu to a CHC.


Ngamlao, president of the Konyak Union Tobu unit, reiterated that many health units in the Tobu area are lacking manpower, and the department should make the health centres fully functional by deploying sufficient manpower.


The programme was attended by leaders of the Tobu area and neighbouring villages.
