KOHIMA, MAY 26 : Rev VK Nuh has said that good values and customs of Nagas are waning today with the fast changing world and noted with regret that unlike the time of forefathers, people have lost values of life on all fronts.
Addressing the second day of Ura Academy 46th Tenyidie Seminar at Ura Academy Hall, Kohima this evening, Nuh said, Nagas have been blessed with all the good things of life, but they have
failed to take the path of Christianity. It is time for the people to come together and revive the good values of the glorious past before it is too late, he asserted.
Meanwhile, meritorious Dr Neilhouzhü Kire Angami Award for HSLC, Rüzhükhrie Sekhose Award for HSSLC and A Kevichüsa Award for BA (Tenyidie Honours) were given away to Pusavinü Vitsu (Mezhur Higher Secondary School, Kohima) and Khriezakuo Nagi (Dainty Buds School, Kohima); Arhieno Nagi from Greenwood Higher Secondary School, Dimapur and Dziesekhrienuo from Oriental College Kohima.
Earlier, the programme chaired by Rev Khrotso Mero, Sr Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kitsubozou started off with a bible reading and prayer offered by Rev Kiezotuo Zhale, Sr Pastor, Baptist Mission Church, Kohima. A special number was presented by Mhasivonuo Linyü and benediction by Rev Pelhousehu Belho, Pastor Khedi Baptist Church.
