Dimapur, June 10 (EMN): The president of the Naga Students’ Union Dibrugarh, Khuvishe Swu spoke about the need for a pastor or chaplain to cater to the need of the Nagas in Dibrugarh.
He said, ‘Both students and employees are temporary, but a full-time worker can be the bridge to lead and provide spiritual guidance.
Swu was quoted as saying in a joint meeting of the NSUD, Naga Christian Fellowship (NCF) Dibrugarh and the Nagaland Mission Movement (NMM) members of Dimapur on June 10 at the Naga Patient House in Dibrugarh.
In response to the NSUD’s concerns, the NMM assured to look into the need and grievance of the NCF.
It added, “a report will be submitted to the director, NMM and further assistance and requirement will be discussed.”
The mission members were also to have been discussed about the history and guidelines of the mission.
A separate discussion with the union executives and advisors was said to have been conducted. During the discourse, grievances of the Naga students and employees in Dibrugarh regarding the NPH which is in need of facilities and repair has been discussed.
Further, the press release stated that the NSUD which was formerly incepted as the Naga Association in 1971 will be observing its Golden Jubilee in 2021.
As to which “much is needed to be done which will be affected if delayed,” the press release added.
