Dimapur, July 27 (EMN): In the aftermath of recent political development in the State, Naga People’s Front (NPF) working president, Huskha Yepthomi, has conceded of electing unprincipled people as their representatives, who could not remain faithful to the party at the present juncture.
He expressed anguish over the regular visit to Kaziranga by the MLAs whenever disagreement emerges which was unbecoming for matured leaders.
He stated this in his address on behalf of the President during the Central Executive Council meeting of the NPF party on July 25 that was made available to the media through a press release.
He expressed anguish on the habitual visit of Kaziranga by the Naga MLAs whenever any disagreement emerges among themselves, which was unbecoming of the matured leaders.
“This is the third time that Naga MLAs tried to solve their internal problems at Kaziranga and, therefore, after 2018 general election, the government of Nagaland should construct a guest house at Kaziranga,” he mused.
He further expressed disgust that the Naga MLAs were huddled into three buses and were despatched to one of the infamous Kaziranga resorts after pick-and-choose dinner organised by TR Zeliang in his residence at Dimapur.
He also stated that the legislators, on their return from Kaziranga, weere "welcomed" with slogans and insults along the road, which was a disgrace for a leader.
"With what kind of face they shall go to church and other political platforms", he further asked.
“The Joint Inquiry Commission set up in the aftermath of the incident is yet to submit its report, and therefore TR Zeliang should not be the Chief Minister till the report is submitted and action taken,” it stated.
