Nagas are not Indians and Nagaland is not a part of India, says a member CEC Naga National Council.
Dear Nagas,
How conscientious and visionary our pioneers were when they submitted the Naga Club memorandum to the Simon Commission led by Sir John Simon in 1929? They did not have the knowledge that the world has today nor did they have the means of easy access to information that the internet has made available today. Truly it was the Almighty God who gave them the wisdom and foresight. Indeed, Rüzhükhrie Sekhose, who drafted the Naga Club memorandum, stated, “How was I to know that I would be writing such an important statement? It was truly the hand of God that moved my hand in writing the memorandum”. Nagas can therefore say with conviction that the hand of the Almighty God was with them from the very beginning. How unfathomable yet true.
From 1946, the Naga National Council (NNC) led and sustained the movement through pain and suffering. On March 11, 1952, the then Indian Prime Minister, Shri Jawaharlal Nehru is said to have declared, “Whether heaven falls or India goes to pieces and blood runs in the country, whether I am here and others come in, the Nagas will not be allowed to become independent”.
It is learnt that Shri Jawaharlal Nehru came from a high caste Hindu family and is even considered a philosopher by some. India has had 13 Prime Ministers since Nehru but with regard to the Naga issue there has been no change in India’s policy.
Ever since he became Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has been enticing the Nagas with the allure of development, education, jobs, sports, culture and traditions. These enticements are the tunes of a Snake charmer (Sapera) and Shri Narendra Modi has relentlessly played the flute to stupefy the minds of the Nagas. But beneath all these allurements is a snake- meaning the RSS brand of Hinduism. Let the Nagas be more cautious. The Bible says, “Flee from idol worshippers.”
“Nagas are not Indians and Nagaland is not a part of India”. Kuknalim.
