‘Nagas are creative but lack commitment’

She, therefore, encouraged the people to do things with commitment and dedication in order to reap the fruits of their efforts. Lithrongla stated this at the inaugural function of SC/ST Conclave held at the auditorium of Government Higher Secondary School in Tuensang town on May 17. The ST/SC Conclave was organised by NIDC Ltd., Dimapur, in collaboration with Industries and Commerce department under National SC/ST Hub, and Ministry of MSME, Government of India. Lithrongla has highlighted on the central government’s special scheme which gives privileges to SC/ST section of the people in India. She stated that the scheme would enlighten the tribal and scheduled caste people to be aware on how to go about as an entrepreneur and be sustainable for life. She pointed out that Nagas are creative but lack commitment which hinders them from becoming successful entrepreneurs. She encouraged the people to do things with commitment and dedication to achieve success. She also encouraged the students to do their qualification in activity/ skill-based learning. “Unemployment is a most talked problem we are facing for which we should be skillfully educated to tackle the unemployment problem,” She added. Delivering the keynote address, CM Lotha, NIDC Managing Director, highlighted the objectives of the programme where professional support to SC/ST entrepreneurs are provided for fulfilling the mandate of 4% procurement, as per the public Procurement Policy 2012. Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Mohamed Ali Shihab, also spoke on the occasion.
