Dimapur, Oct. 19: The possibility of vehicular traffic resuming along the Dhansiri Bridge located at ‘Kuda B Khel,’ Nagarjan appears to be on shaky ground. On Oct. 17, there was a notice issued by the deputy commissioner of Dimapur stating the bridge was open for single lane light vehicle movement.
It was soon dismissed because the bridge happened “to shake” as vehicles passed through it. A ‘re-inspection’ was decided for the next day between engineers and the district administration, it was informed.
According to sources, on Oct. 17, inspectors noticed that the bridge “was shaking” when opened briefly for vehicular movement; and thus vehicular movement banned immediately.
