Imlibenla Wati the beauty queen from Nagaland who recently contested in the Miss North East Diva in Guwahati in Assam, fell on the stage. Wati was contesting at the August 13 event when she fell on the stage when contestants were on stage waiting for results. Nonetheless, she impressed the judges enough that she got selected to go through to the next round. 20 contestants were selected out of more than 100. However, the organisers later replaced her with another contestant ‘on grounds of health as a consequence of the fall.’ According to a source, after the contest was over she was invited by the judges, who were from the Miss India organization, to come for the final auditions to the Miss Diva Universe, to be held in Mumbai on September 9, 2017. Will this stumble in Guwahati bring an end to Miss Imlibenlas’s beauty pageant pursuits, or will she pick herself up and go for the next audition? Time will tell. EMN
