Dimapur, Feb. 27: The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) in a press note informed that there will be a coordination meeting between officials of NWA and Nagaland Wrestling Referee Board on March 9, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the NWA Office. The meeting will be followed by referee technical briefing session for the 11th Open Naga Wrestling Championship 2017 at 2:00p.m. Therefore all concern members are requested to attend the meeting without fail. Separate letter will not be served to all individuals in this matter, added the NWA press note.
It also informed that there will be Belt Wrestling Referee Orientation Program on the same day at 4:30 p.m at Kohima local ground. Naval Kishore, (Delhi) Technical Secretary, National Traditional Wrestling Federation of India and International Belt Wrestling Referee will impart the training. All the three NWA units are requested to send three referees to attend the Orientation program.Naval Kishore is the Coach of Mr. Parveen Kumar, a wrestler from Delhi who confirmed his participation in the forthcoming 11th Open Naga Wrestling Championship 2017 organised by NWA. Parveen Kumar weighs 125 kgs and the reigning 5th National Belt Wrestling Champion under 90+kg category held in July 2016 at Pune.
